Notes - The Black Arrow Tetra is one of the newer tetra species, having been introduced to the hobby in late 2025. Originating in an upper tributary to the Rio Tapajos in Brazil, this species prefers the softer warmer waters similar to its homeland. Males and females have a solid black stripe along the bottom of the body and beautiful orange fins.

Tetras, and other shoaling fish, should be kept in groups of six or more.
