Notes - The Raccoon Tetra is a stunning species of tetra, originating from one of the Rio Madeira tributaries in North Western Brazil. This clear water species has males with a brilliant yellow body with dark orange edges when mature. The females, like many other tetra species are much smaller and less colorful than the males.
Tetras, and other shoaling fish, should be kept in groups of six or more.
