Notes - The Green Laser Corydoras is a stunning freshwater catfish prized for its iridescent emerald-green stripe that shimmers brilliantly across its bronze body under aquarium lighting. Native to the clear, fast-flowing waters of Peru, this peaceful schooling species thrives in groups of six or more and is an excellent addition to community aquariums. Reaching about 2.5 inches (6 cm) in length, Green Laser Corydoras are active bottom dwellers that help keep the substrate clean by foraging for leftover food, though they should be fed a varied diet of high-quality sinking pellets, frozen foods, and live treats. They prefer soft, sandy substrates to protect their sensitive barbels, along with clean, well-oxygenated water and plenty of hiding places among plants and driftwood. Hardy, beautiful, and full of personality, the Green Laser Corydoras is a favorite among aquarists looking to add both color and activity to their aquarium.
Corydoradinae should be kept in groups of six or more on sand substrate.
